Everyone is a leader, at some point or situation in their lives.
And not everyone is perfect.

Given these two facts, we’ve come up with the APSMA McLoughlinBall Leadership Program.

The program aims to deliver significant improvement in your leadership skills and capabilities, whether you’re a BD Assistant at the start of your career or a top flight Marketing/BD Director in a major firm looking to move into a COO role, or somewhere in between.

The end game is to help you to improve your offering, now and into the future.

The APSMA McLoughlinBall Leadership Program is open to all Australian based members of APSMA (either through a firm membership or individual membership) who work in a marketing, business development or communications role in a recognised professional services firm.

One successful applicant per year will be selected to receive six months of coaching from a professional business coach.

Application for the program requires a written submission, which will be judged against agreed criteria.

The 2010 winner has just been announced (see below) and we look forward to running the program again in 2011.

The 2010 Winner - Mark Bolton
Business Development Advisor, Tress Cox

Mark Bolton of TressCox was announced as the inagural winner of the APSMA McLoughlinBall Leadership Program at the APSMA Victorian Christmas party held on 1 December.

In his application Mark said:

"An important step in my development as a business development adviser is being aware of my capabilities and respecting the knowledge and skills of others.  I fully appreciate that I am new to this game and have a huge amount to learn.  This desire to learn and develop my business development and leadership skills are the reasons I am applying for this program"

Mark has agreed to share his experience on the coaching program with APSMA colleagues - watch this space to hear how Mark progresses.
